How do we disclose security cameras or Ring doorbells?

Privacy is a concern for guests in 2024. Airbnb requires us to note the location of the camera views clearly on our rental property listings and forbids interior cameras in all guest areas.

Marketing has a standard for adding notice of security cameras or Ring doorbells on our listings.

If a property has a Ring doorbell:

  1. In the Track Unit Profile, we select this "Active Ring Doorbell" amenity underneath the Home Safety category.

  2. In the written description, this verbiage  is added to our rules section:
    "This property has an active Ring doorbell at the main entrance."

 If a property has active security cameras:

  1. In the Track Unit Profile, we select this "Security Camera" amenity underneath the Home Safety category.

  2. In the written description, this is an example of the verbiage that is added to our rules section:
    "This property has active video surveillance on the pool equipment and driveway only."
    (This is a sample only.) We need accurate confirmation of any guest areas with security cameras present before adding them on the listing.

*Important! To comply with Airbnb, Vrbo, and other booking channel rules, we must specifically mention any guest areas with video cameras. Please let Marketing know so we can update the listing accordingly.
